Sea snakes are aquatic reptiles that are venomous. Their venom is very dangerous.

Sea snakes can stay underwater for a long time, but do have to come up to the surface to breathe. There are many different species of sea snakes such as yellow-bellied sea snake and banded sea krait.

Some sea snakes eat fish and some might eat eels. All sea snakes are excellent swimmers.
