Sea otters are marine mammals that live in the Pacific Ocean.  Sea otters are members of the weasel family which have flat tails.

Sea otters live in groups called rafts. Baby sea otters are called pups.

Sea otters eat least 10 pounds of food a day. This gives them the energy to swim and hunt. When they eat they use their tummies as plates.

Sea otters groom themselves for many hours every day. They have two layers of fur. One layer keeps the water out and the second layer to keep them warm.
